Update on Norma

Hi everyone,

I visited Norma yesterday at Danto, and she is progressing slowly but surely. She moves her right leg more freely now, and she even walks with the help of a cane and a therapist, who supports her. She moves by herself from her wheelchair to her bed, which is a huge accomplishment. She studies her words and phrases diligently, and although Norma wants quicker results from her hard work, results such as clearer speech to express herself, she is progressing more and more each day.

As you know, the recovery from a stroke can be a slow process, but with the help of good friends and family, such as you, who visit Norma, keep her well-informed and comfortable, as well as the good doctors and therapists at Danto, who help her physically, and every one's prayers, Norma's recovery will proceed quicker, so keep up the good work everyone. Keep encouraging Norma with your thoughtful cards and kind words because she loves to hear from you and is trying so hard to get better.

Thank you so much for all of your responses to my last post. Norma now has comfortable pillows, a beautiful throw rug beside her bed, Jill Taylor's book on tape, beautiful flowers, new learning tools and other gifts that I probably haven't seen. Norma thanks you.
